Yves Saint Laurent is Dead
Yves Saint Laurent, French haute couture designer is dead Sunday evening at 71, in Paris. “YSL” was suffering from a brain cancer. The fashion creator retired in 2002 after 40 years of success.
Yves Saint Laurent first worked in Christian Dior’s house (1936), where he learnt his art, fascinated by Dior. In 1961, he then created his own fashion house and brought to women a daring style, changing their wardrobe completely, transformating mens clothes for the feminine world. One of his famous creation : the smoking for ladies.
Provocating, Yves Saint Laurent leaves an indelible mark on almost a half century of eternal style.
